Privacy

Your typing stays yours.

Last updated: 1 July 2026

The short version

Table Keyboard has no account, no analytics, no ads, and no servers. Your keystrokes, clicks and scrolls travel straight from your Vision Pro to your own Mac over your local network. We never see them, never store them, and never send them anywhere. That's the whole policy — the rest is detail.

01 Who we are

This policy covers the Table Keyboard app for Apple Vision Pro and its free Table Keyboard Mac companion. Together they let you type on a spatial keyboard and trackpad in the headset and have that input appear on your Mac. Table Keyboard is an independent product and is not affiliated with Apple.

02 What we collect

Nothing. We do not collect, transmit, or retain any personal data. There is no sign-up, no login, no user profile, and no cloud backend operated by us.

  • No account or email is required to use the app.
  • No analytics, tracking, advertising, or third-party SDKs are embedded.
  • No usage statistics or crash reports are sent to us.

03 How your keystrokes are handled

When you type, point, scroll or react, the app turns those actions into input events and sends them directly to your Mac over your local network using Apple's Bonjour discovery and a peer-to-peer connection between your two devices.

  • Input travels device-to-device on your own network — it does not pass through us or any external service.
  • Keystrokes are processed in real time to deliver your input and are not logged or stored by either app.
  • Your preferences (chosen skin, size, layout and sound pack) are saved only on your own device.

04 Permissions we ask for

The apps request a small number of system permissions, used only to make typing work:

Local Network (Vision Pro)

Required so the headset can discover and connect to your Mac companion on the same Wi-Fi network. It is not used to reach the internet.

Accessibility (Mac)

The macOS companion needs Accessibility permission to inject keystrokes and pointer movements into the app you're focused on. This permission is what lets your typing appear on the Mac. It is granted by you in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility and can be revoked there at any time.

05 Third parties

We do not share data with third parties, because we do not collect any. Your only relationship for payment is with Apple: the Vision Pro app is a one-time purchase handled entirely on the App Store, under Apple's Privacy Policy. We never receive your payment details.

06 Children's privacy

Table Keyboard is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not directed at children. Since we collect no personal data from anyone, we collect none from children.

07 Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes in a way that affects your privacy, this page will be updated and the "last updated" date above will change. Because the app is designed to work entirely on your own devices, we expect changes to be rare.
